Burung pengicau atau Passeriformes adalah ordo terbesar dalam kelas burung atau aves dalam kerajaan hewan atau animalia. Sekitar 5.400 spesies atau lebih dari setengah jumlah total spesies burung adalah burung pengicau.

Spesies burung dalam ordo Burung pengicau mempunyai otot yang rumit untuk mengatur organ suaranya dan sebagian besar burung-burung dalam ordo ini mempunyai ukuran tubuh relatif lebih kecil dibandingkan burung-burung dalam ordo lainnya.
