Robert II dari Dreux (1154 – 28 Desember 1218), Comte Dreux dan Braine, merupakan putra sulung Robert I, Comte Dreux, dan Agnes de Baudemont, Comtesse Braine, dan cucu Raja Louis VI dari Perancis.^[1]

Ia ikut serta di dalam Perang Salib Ketiga, pada Pertempuran Acre^[2] dan Pertempuran Arsuf. Ia juga ambil bagian di dalam perang Normandia melawan raja-raja Angevin di antara tahun 1193 dan 1204. Comte Robert menyita kastil Nonancourt dari Richard I dari Inggris ketika ia dipenjara di Jerman pada akhir tahun 1193.^[3]Comte itu juga berpartisipasi di dalam Perang Salib Albigensian pada tahun 1210. Tahun 1214 ia berperang bersama-sama dengan Raja Philippe II dari Perancis di Pertempuran Bouvines.

Pernikahan dan Keturunan

Pernikahan pertamanya dengan Mahaut dari Bourgogne (1150–1192) pada tahun 1178 berakhir dengan pembatalan pada tahun 1181 dan mereka tidak memiliki keturunan. Mahaut dan Robert merupakan keturunan dari Guillaume I dari Bourgogne dan istrinya Etiennete dan mereka berdua merupakan keturunan dari Wangsa Kapetia, Robert II dari Perancis.^[4]

Pernikahan keduanya dengan Yolande de Coucy (1164–1222) menghasil beberapa keturunan:^[5]

Makam

Makam Comte Robert terdapat sebuah tulisan di dalam bahasa Latin kuno hexameter :

Stirpe satus rēgum, pius et custōdia lēgum,

Brannę Rōbertus comes hīc requiescit opertus,

Et jacet Agnētis situs ad vestīgia mātris.

yang dapat diartikan: "Lahir dari keturunan raja-raja dan penjaga hukum yang setia, disini berbaring, Robert, Comte Braine, berdampingan dengan ibundanya Agnes."

Makam tersebut juga memiliki tanggal Anno Gracię M. CC. XVIII. die innocentum."
