Kereta api Argo Muria (Hanacaraka: ꦱꦼꦥꦸꦂ​ꦲꦂꦒ​ꦩꦸꦫꦶꦪ, Sepur Harga Muria) adalah kereta api kelas eksekutif argo yang dioperasikan PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) di Pulau Jawa dengan jurusan Semarang Tawang–Gambir dan sebaliknya. Layanan kereta api ini merupakan layanan kebanggaan PT KAI Daop IV Semarang bersama dengan Kereta api Argo Sindoro.

Layanan

Kereta api ini dioperasikan pertama kali pada tanggal 22 Desember 1997. Kereta api ini menawarkan alternatif perjalanan dengan jadwal pemberangkatan pagi hari dari arah Jakarta ke Semarang dan sore hari dari arah sebaliknya. Saat itu rangkaian yang digunakan adalah rangkaian yang sama dengan yang digunakan oleh KA Kereta api Argo Bromo Anggrek sehingga menjadi salah satu kereta termewah di zamannya.

Diikuti dengan peluncuran KA Argo Muria II pada tanggal 20 Mei 2001, bersamaan dengan diluncurkannya rangkaian Kereta api Argo Bromo Anggrek batch 2001, yang menawarkan alternatif perjalanan yang berkebalikan dengan KA Argo Muria I sehingga sejak itu tersedia dua jadwal pemberangkatan kereta api dari Stasiun Semarang Tawang - Stasiun Gambir maupun arah sebaliknya. Sekarang KA Argo Muria I sudah berubah nama menjadi KA Argo Sindoro. Sehingga untuk KA Argo Muria yang tersedia hanyalah KA Argo Muria II yang berangkat dari Stasiun Gambir pukul 07.15 dan dari Stasiun Semarang Tawang pukul 16.00.

Mulai tahun 2002 kereta ini menggunakan rangkaian baru dari PT INKA Madiun yang merupakan kereta argo seperti pada umumnya. Kereta ini dialokasikan untuk KA Argo Muria II, sedangkan Argo Muria I masih menggunakan rangkaian Kereta api Argo Bromo Anggrek sampai menjadi Kereta api Argo Sindoro. Sedangkan rangkaian Kereta api Argo Bromo Anggrek milik Argo Muria II dimutasi ke Kereta api Argo Lawu.

Argo selain berarti gunung juga merupakan brand image layanan tertinggi kereta api eksekutif. Kata Muria berasal dari nama gunung (Gunung Muria) yang memiliki ketinggian 1.602 m di atas permukaan laut dan berada di sebelah utara kota Kudus (69 km dari arah Kota Semarang). Kawasan gunung ini terkenal dengan berbagai macam satwa langka.

Layanan kereta api yang memiliki kapasitas 350-450 tempat duduk ini terdiri dari 7-9 kereta kelas eksekutif Argo (K1), 1 kereta makan kelas eksekutif (M1) & 1 kereta Pembangkit (P).Untuk perjalanan yang dilakukan pada siang hari, penumpang dapat menikmati indahnya panorama di pesisir Pantai Utara, khususnya antara Pekalongan - Semarang.

Pada musim lebaran, natal, dan tahun baru, tersedia KA Argo Muria dan/atau Kereta api Argo Sindoro Tambahan, yang mana akan menggunakan rangkaian cadangan Kereta api Argo Bromo Anggrek atau rangkaian kereta eksekutif terbaru bila tersedia atau bahkan rangkaian lama kedua kereta tersebut.

Saat ini rangkaian KA Argo Muria telah menggunakan kereta eksekutif terbaru produksi PT Inka tahun 2017.

Pengaruh

KA Argo Muria menjadi kereta unggulan Daop IV Semarang dan ini dibuktikan dengan beberapa agenda yang menyematkan Argo Muria dalam pelaksanaannya.

Pada 22 Desember 2017, PT KAI Daop IV Semarang bersama Komunitas Railfans Daop Empat (KRDE) memperingati hari ulang tahun operasional ke-20 untuk KA tersebut, ditandai dengan penyiraman lokomotif dan pembagian souvenir bagi penumpang kereta tersebut sebelum KA diberangkatkan kembali.[1]

Nama KA Argo Muria turut dijadikan nama festival oleh PT KAI Daop IV Semarang sebagai "Argo Muria Festival", dan merupakan sebuah kolaborasi yang sangat kental dengan kebudayaan bersama seorang penyanyi bertalenta, Andien Aisyah. Kolaborasi ini menghadirkan sebuah festival musik bernama Argo Muria Festival with Andien, yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Juli 2018 di Lawang Sewu, Semarang, dan terbuka untuk masyarakat umum. Sesuai dengan temanya yang menampilkan keberagaman budaya, Argo Muria Festival with Andien tidak hanya sekadar menampilkan Andien #IndonesiaBermetaforsa showcase, tetapi juga menghadirkan bazar, pameran, dan penampilan terbuka dari 3 orang Jazzy Station Perfomer asal Bandung dan Semarang.[2] Di saat yang sama, PT KAI meluncurkan kartu Travelling by Train Community Card: Argo Muria Edition berbasis Ponta.[3]

Tarif

Tarif kereta api ini adalah Rp160.000,00-Rp700.000,00, bergantung pada jarak yang ditempuh penumpang, subkelas/posisi tempat duduk dalam rangkaian kereta, serta hari-hari tertentu seperti akhir pekan dan libur nasional. Selain itu, berlaku pula tarif khusus yang hanya dapat dipesan mulai dua jam sebelum keberangkatan pada stasiun-stasiun yang berada di dalam rute berikut.

Pada budaya populer

Kereta api Argo Muria bersama kereta api kelas Argo lainnya diangkat menjadi lagu campur sari karya Cak Diqin, "Sepur Argo Lawu".[4] Pada lagu tersebut disebutkan nama Argo Lawu, Argo Dwipangga, Argo Wilis, Argo Muria, Argo Bromo Anggrek, dan Sri Tanjung.
