Billy Joe Thomas (lahir 7 Agustus 1942) adalah seorang penyanyi berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat. Dia terkenal karena lagu-lagu hitnya tahun 1960-an dan 1970-an, yang muncul di tangga lagu pop, country, dan Christian. Rekamannya yang paling terkenal adalah lagu pemenang Oscar kategori Lagu Orisinal Terbaik ciptaan Burt Bacharach dan Hal David yang berjudul "Raindrops Keep Fallin 'on My Head" yang menjadi lagu tema Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid dan versi asli dari lagu Mark James "Hooked on a Feeling".
Thomas was raised in and around Houston, Texas, graduating from Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg. Before his solo career, he sang in a church choir as a teenager, then joined the musical group The Triumphs with Tim Griffith (guitar and keyboards), Denver "Zeke" Zatyka (bass), Don Drachenberg (sax) and Ted Mensik (drums). During his senior year he made friends with Roy Head of Roy Head and The Traits. The Traits and the Triumphs held several Battle of the Bands events in the early 1960s.
