Coel Hen

Coel (Wales Lama: Coil) atau Coel Hen ("Coel yang Tua") adalah seorang figur berpengaruh dalam legenda dan sastra Wales sejak Abad Pertengahan. Tradisi Wales awal mengenal Coel Hen (Coel Tua) sebagai seorang pemimpin Romawi atau Britania Anak Romawi dan pelopor beberapa garis raja di Hen Ogledd ("Utara Lama"), bagian pemakai rumpun bahasa Brittonic dari Inggris utara dan selatan Skotlandia. Legenda akhir abad pertengahan menyebut Coel, yang berasal dari Coel Hen, yang merupakan ayah dari Santa Helena dan kakek dari Kaisar Romawi Konstantinus Agung. Karakter lainnya dengan nama yang sama tidak sama atau tidak berkaitan dengan Coel Wales.
