Sally Cecilia Hawkins (lahir 27 April 1976) merupakan seorang aktris Britania Raya. Ia dikenal sebagai aktris dalam film Happy-Go-Lucky (2008), Blue Jasmine (2013), Paddington (2014), Maudie (2016) dan The Shape of Water (2017).
Latar belakang[sunting | sunting sumber]
Sally Hawkins lahir di Dulwich dan besar di Blackheath. Ia merupakan putri dari Jacqui Hawkins (Jacqueline Sinfield) dan Colin Hawkins yang merupakan seorang penulis dan ilustrator buku anak-anak. Kedua orang tuanya berketurunan Katolik Irlandia.[1] Dia memiliki kakak bernama Finbar Hawkins, yang bekerja sebagai seorang produser. Ia pertama kali mengembangkan bakatnya berakting pada usia tiga tahun ketika ia pergi ke pertunjukan sirkus. Ia berniat mengembangkan minatnya dalam genre komedi namun akhirnya ia berakting di teater.[2] Ia menempuh pendidikan di James Allen's Girls' School di Dulwich dan kemudian lulus dari Royal Academy of Dramatic Art pada tahun 1998. Ia menderita disleksia.[3]
