Perga (bahasa Yunani: Πέργη Perge, Turki: Perge) adalah sebuah kota kuno Yunani di Anatolia dan ibu kota daerah Pamfilia, sekarang wilayah Provinsi Antalya di pantai barat daya Laut Tengah di negara modern Turki sekarang. Saat ini merupakan situs luas reruntuhan kuno 15 kilometer (9,3 mi) di sebelah timur Antalya pada dataran pantai. Di sini terdapat sebuah acropolis yang bertarikh Zaman Perunggu.[1]

Rasul Paulus bersama Barnabas, dicatat mengunjungi Perga dua kali dalam Kisah Para Rasul,[2] dalam perjalanan misi pertama mereka, di mana mereka "mengabarkan Firman" sebelum pergi ke Atalia (sekarang kota modern Antalya), 15 kilometer (9,3 mi) di sebelah barat daya Perga, dan dari sana berlayar kembali ke Antiokhia di Siria.[3]
Tokoh terkenal[sunting | sunting sumber]
- Penduduk Perga yang paling terkenal pada zaman kuno adalah ahli matematika Apollonius (c.262 SM – c.190 SM), hidup dan bekerja di sana, menulis satu seri terdiri dari 8 buku yang menggambarkan kelompok kurva yang dikenal sebagai irisan kerucut, mencakup lingkaran, elips, parabola, dan hiperbola.[4]
