Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (चन्द्रशेखर वेङ्कट रामन्) (7 November 1888-21 November 1970) merupakan fisikawan India. Ia dilahirkan di Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Dalam usia awal Raman pindah ke kota Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Ia menamatkan BA and MA dalam Fisika dan Bahasa Inggrisnya dari Perguruan Tinggi Kepresidenan, Madras (kini Chennai). Ia menjadi anggota Pamong Praja India sebagai Asisten Jenderal Akuntan di Calcutta (kini Kolkata).
Raman merupakan guru besar fisika di Universitas Calcutta selama 15 tahun berikutnya. Di sinilah pekerjaannya pada optik mendapat pengakuan.
Raman memenangkan Hadiah Nobel Fisika 1930 untuk pekerjaannya pada penyebaran cahaya dan untuk penemuan efek Raman. Spektroskopi Raman, yang berdasarkan pada efeknya juga dinamai menurut namanya.
