Bocah Ghetto Warsawa muncul dalam foto terkenal yang diambil saat Pemberontakan Ghetto Warsawa 1943, sedang mengangkat tangannya di atas kepalanya saat SS-Rottenführer Josef Blösche mengarahkan senapan mesin ke arahnya. Bocah tersebut dan keluarganya bersembunyi di sebuah banker saat pencairan akhir ghetto tersebut, namun mereka ditangkap dan dipaksa oleh pasukan Jerman. Setelah foto tersebut diambil, seluruh Yahudi dalam foto tersebut diarak ke Umschlagplatz dan dideportasi ke kamp eksterminasi Majdanek atau Treblinka.
