Menurut pemain keyboard [[Dina Dellyana]], proses rekaman lagu tersebut “terpaksa” diulang beberapa kali sehingga menghasilkan musik elektronik yang renyah didengar dan mendapatkan warna musik pop yang masih tetap sesuai dengan karakter HMGNC. “Lagu ini udah beberapa kali dibongkar aransemen dan terus menerus bereksplorasi dengan gonta-ganti sound yang sesuai dengan keinginan kami. Ini adalah singel kedua HMGNC yang dirilis pada tahun 2015 selepas singel pertama "Today and Forever" yang dirilis pada April. Versi baru lagu tersebut termuat dalam album kelima self-title HMGNC yang dirilis pada 2017.[3]

Menurut pemain keyboard Dina Dellyana, proses rekaman lagu tersebut “terpaksa” diulang beberapa kali sehingga menghasilkan musik elektronik yang renyah didengar dan mendapatkan warna musik pop yang masih tetap sesuai dengan karakter HMGNC. “Lagu ini udah beberapa kali dibongkar aransemen dan terus menerus bereksplorasi dengan gonta-ganti sound yang sesuai dengan keinginan kami. Kami sampai menggunakan platform software yang berbeda untuk lagu ini demi mencoba mendapatkan sound yang fresh”.[4]

"Memories That Last a Dream" dirilis pada 6 September 2015. Untuk mempromosikan singel ini, acara release party single berupa sebuah gigs telah diselenggarakan di NuArt Sculpture Park Bandung di tanggal yang sama.[4] Sebuah video musik juga difilmkan dan memuatkan live footage peluncuran single.

Sebuah album remix "Memories That Last a Dream" telah dirilis pada 2016 melalui kolaborasi bersama 6 musisi/produser dari berbagai genre yang berbakat dari Indonesia dan Malaysia.[5]
