Speedy Gonzales adalah sebuah karakter dari seri kartun Looney Tunes, yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat. Karakter ini digagas oleh Robert McKimson dan Friz Freleng.

Karakteristik[sunting | sunting sumber]

Speedy Gonzales menggambarkan seekor tikus terkenal Meksiko yang mampu berbicara dalam bahasa Spanyol. Sering membantu para tikus lain dalam berhadapan dengan lawannya, Sylvester the Cat. Dia mampu berlari cepat seperti layaknya Road Runner, dan dengan kata khasnya, "Come on! Hurry up!" (Spanyol: ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!).^[1]

Speedy Gonzales memakai topi besar Meksiko dan syal berwarna merah serta pakaian putih.Hal yang istimewa ialah memiliki kaki yang besar dan panjang. Dijuluki González.

Kartun perdananya adalah Cat-Tails for Two, di mana ia muncul bersama tokoh Sylvester, pada 29 Agustus 1953.
