Bruce Lorne Campbell[1] (lahir 22 Juni 1958) adalah seorang aktor, sutradara, produser dan penulis Amerika. Dia dikenal karena penggambarannya Ash Williams di Sam Raimi Evil Dead franchise, dimulai dengan film pendek 1978 Within the Woods. Dia telah membintangi banyak anggaran rendah cult films seperti Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989), dan Bubba Ho-Tep (2002).

Campbell lahir di Royal Oak, Michigan,[3] untuk Joanne Louise (née Pickens), seorang ibu rumah tangga, dan Charles Newton Campbell, yang bekerja di bidang periklanan selama 35 tahun dalam berbagai peran mulai dari inspektur papan reklame keliling hingga wakil presiden perusahaan, kemudian mengajar di sembilan perguruan tinggi sebagai asisten profesor, dan juga seorang aktor dan sutradara di teater lokal.[4]

Campbell mulai bertindak sebagai remaja dan segera mulai membuat pendek Super 8 film dengan teman-teman. Setelah dia bertemu Sam Raimi di Wylie E. Groves High School, keduanya menjadi teman yang sangat baik dan mulai membuat film bersama. Campbell akan terus hadir Western Michigan University sementara dia terus mengerjakan karir aktingnya.[6] Campbell dan Raimi berkolaborasi dalam versi 30 menit Super 8 yang pertama Evil Dead film, berjudul Within the Woods, yang awalnya digunakan untuk menarik investor.[7]

Istri pertama Campbell adalah Christine Deveau, yang dinikahinya pada 1983. Mereka memiliki dua anak, dan bercerai pada 1989. Campbell saat ini tinggal di Jacksonville, Oregon, dengan istri keduanya, perancang kostum Ida Gearon, yang dia temui di lokasi syuting film Mindwarp.[8]
