==Sinopsis==
Untuk dua musim pertama, Roger Murtaugh, seorang detektif tua dengan seorang istri dan tiga anak, bermitra bersama dengan Martin Riggs, seorang detektif muda yang tidak stabil yang istri dan anaknya yang belum lahir baru-baru ini dibunuh. Lethal Weapon adalah sebuah serial televisi drama komedi Amerika Serikat yang didasarkan pada sebuah serial film dengan nama yang sama yang dibuat oleh Shane Black. Serial ini dipesan pada tanggal 10 Mei 2016, dan ditayangkan perdana di Fox pada tanggal 21 September 2016.[1] Pada tanggal 12 Oktober 2016, Fox mengumpulkan serial tersebut untuk musim penuh dengan 18 episode.[2] Pada tanggal 22 Februari 2017, Fox memperbarui seri untuk musim kedua, yang diputar perdana pada tanggal 26 September 2017.[3][4] Serial ini ditayangkan selama tiga musim di Fox, mulai dari bulan September 2016, hingga bulan Februari 2019.[5][6]

Untuk dua musim pertamanya, Lethal Weapon dibintangi oleh Clayne Crawford dan Damon Wayans sebagai Martin Riggs dan Roger Murtaugh, mitra detektif yang tidak cocok yang juga merupakan karakter utama di dalam film yang aslinya diperankan oleh Mel Gibson dan Danny Glover. Serial ini juga menyertakan karakter lain yang secara langsung atau longgar terinspirasi oleh karakter dari film, termasuk Leo Getz (diperankan oleh Thomas Lennon), teman dekat Riggs dan Murtaugh, yang diperankan dalam film oleh Joe Pesci.

Untuk dua musim pertama, Roger Murtaugh, seorang detektif tua dengan seorang istri dan tiga anak, bermitra bersama dengan Martin Riggs, seorang detektif muda yang tidak stabil yang istri dan anaknya yang belum lahir baru-baru ini dibunuh. Meskipun metode Riggs yang sangat peduli dalam menangkap penjahat sering kali membahayakan nyawanya dan Murtaugh, namun keduanya mampu mengembangkan rasa hormat dan membentuk persahabatan yang erat. Serial ini dipesan pada bulan Mei 2016, dan ditayangkan perdana di Fox pada tanggal 21 September.[5] Fox mengambil serial ini untuk musim penuh sebanyak 18 episode pada bulan Oktober.[9] Musim kedua sebanyak 22 episode ditayangkan perdana pada 26 September 2017.[10][11][12] Serial ini diperbarui untuk musim ketiga sebanyak 13 episode, dengan Seann William Scott yang menggantikan posisi Clayne Crawford sebagai pemeran utama dari serial tersebut, memainkan karakter baru.[6][13] Fox kemudian memesan dua episode tambahan untuk musim ketiga, sehingga total musim tersebut menjadi lima belas episode.[14] The third season premiered on September 25, 2018.

Damon Wayans berperan sebagai Roger Murtaugh,[15] dengan Golden Brooks sebagai Trish Murtaugh,[16] Jordana Brewster sebagai Dr. Maureen Cahill,[17] Kevin Rahm sebagai Captain Avery,[18] Clayne Crawford sebagai Martin Riggs,[19] dan Chandler Kinney sebagai Riana Murtaugh.[20] Keesha Sharp mengambil alih peran sebagai Trish Murtaugh dari Brooks.[21][22] Johnathan Fernandez berperan sebagai Scorsese.[22][23] Ketika pilotnya diangkat ke seri, Johnathan Fernandez dijadikan seri reguler. Kontroversi dan pembatalan

Pada bulan Mei 2018, Crawford dikeluarkan dari acara tersebut karena masalah perilaku, dan produser sedang mencari penggantinya untuk kemungkinan musim ketiga.[24][25] Seann William Scott dipilih pada bulan itu sebagai pemeran utama baru menjelang pembaruan musim ketiga, memainkan karakter baru yang bernama Wesley Cole.[6][26]

Pada tahun yang sama di bulan Oktober, Damon Wayans mengumumkan keluarnya dia dari serial tersebut, setelah berakhirnya produksi untuk musim ketiga pada bulan Desember.[8] Namun, CEO Fox Entertainment, yaitu Charlie Collier, menyatakan pada bulan Februari 2019 bahwa ada kemungkinan besar Wayans kembali jika serial tersebut diperbarui untuk musim keempat. Wayans menyebut masalah kesehatan sebagai alasan kepergiannya, karena ia mengungkapkan bahwa ia menderita diabetes. Setelah pernyataan ini, produser mengatur ulang jadwal syuting Wayans, dan menyediakan makanan diabetes untuknya di lokasi syuting.[27]

Di Inggris, ITV mulai menayangkan serial ini pada tanggal 3 Maret 2017.[28] Angka penayangannya tetap konsisten dengan sekitar 2,5 juta penyetelan setiap minggunya. Seri kedua dimulai pada tanggal 12 Januari 2018. Seri ketiga dimulai pada tanggal 26 Juli 2019. Di Australia, Nine Network[29] menayangkan perdana serial ini pada tanggal 29 Januari 2017.[30] Di Filipina, penayangan perdananya pada tanggal 10 Juni 2017 di ABS-CBN[31] dan berakhir pada tanggal 9 September. Hanya 14 episode yang ditayangkan. Di Hong Kong, TVB Pearl menayangkan perdana serial ini dengan dua bahasa yang dapat diganti dalam bahasa Inggris asli dan versi Kanton lokal pada tanggal 11 Oktober 2017. Di India, Zee Café menayangkan perdana musim pertama pada tanggal 29 September 2016.[32] Di Brasil, film tersebut telah muncul sejak tanggal 22 September 2017 di Warner Channel Brasil dan di TV Free-to-air di Rede Globo. RTE Irlandia menjalankan seri 1 dan 2 yang dijadwalkan beberapa minggu setelah penayangan perdana setiap episode di AS. Pada bulan April 2021, mereka masih belum menayangkan episode apa pun di musim 3 untuk yang pertama kalinya.

Lethal Weapon menerima tinjauan beragam dari para kritikus. Agregator ulasan Rotten Tomatoes melaporkan peringkat persetujuan sebesar 67%, dengan peringkat rata-rata 5,35/10 berdasarkan 42 ulasan.
