Penggunting-laut manx (Puffinus puffinus) adalah sejenis burung laut berukuran sedang dari suku Procellariidae. Panjang tubuhnya antara 30–38 cm dengan rentang sayap 76–89 cm. Acap terlihat melayang rendah dekat dengan puncak-puncak ombak di laut, penggunting-laut hanya sesekali mengepakkan sayapnya dengan singkat dan mendadak. Ganti berganti burung ini memiringkan sayapnya yang panjang sempit ke kanan dan ke kiri, nyaris menyentuh muka laut, silih berganti pula tampak warna punggungnya yang kehitaman dan perutnya yang putih berlatar warna laut.
Menyebar luas sebagai penetap di berbagai tempat di seputaran Samudra Atlantik, penggunting-laut ini menjelajah jauh hingga ke Australia dan Selandia Baru. Mengingat populasinya yang amat besar, meskipun terdapat sedikit kecenderungan penurunan populasi, IUCN masih memasukkan penggunting-laut atlantik ke dalam status konservasi Least Concern.[1] Ada kemungkinan burung ini mengembara hingga ke perairan Papua.[2]
