Teobert Maler, kemudian Teoberto (12 Januari 1842 – 22 November 1917) adalah seorang penjelajah yang mencurahkan kemampuannya untuk mendokumentasikan reruntuhan peradaban Maya.

Biografi

Teobert Maler lahir di Roma dari orang tua Jerman. Ayahnya adalah seorang dilomat untuk Kadipaten Baden. Maler belajar arsitektur dan teknik di Karlsruhe, kemudian pindah ke Wina pada usia 21 tahun dimana ia mengambil pekerjaan dengan arsitek Heinrich von Ferstel, dan menjadi warga negara Austria.
