Shakti Arora adalah aktor televisi India yang dikenal perannya sebagai Taposh Banerjee di Tere Liye, Ranveer Vaghela di Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi dan Kunal Malhotra di Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. Dia juga bermain Jigar di Baa Bahoo Aur Baby dan Dr. Onir Dutt di Pavitra Rishta. Dia telah berpartisipasi dalam acara realitas seperti Nach Baliye (2015) dan Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2016).

Hari-hari awal dan apresiasi kritis (2006–14)[sunting | sunting sumber]

Arora membuat debut televisinya pada tahun 2006 dengan Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai dan kemudian memainkan Kamran di Sony SAB acara Left Right Left tahun itu.[3]

Pada tahun 2007, ia menandatangani seri berbasis medis di Star Plus acara Dill Mill Gaye sebagai Sumit.[4]

Setelah istirahat selama kurang lebih 2 tahun, ia kembali ke televisi pada tahun 2009 sebagai Jigar Thakkar di Baa Bahoo Aur Baby.[5]

Pada tahun 2010, Ia bergabung dengan Star Plus acara Tere Liye sebagai Taposh Banerjee.[6]

Pada tahun 2011, ia diikat sebagai Mukul di Zee TV acara Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo dan sebagai Angad Purohit di Sanskaar Laxmi.[7]

Arora mendapatkan apresiasi yang tinggi atas penampilannya sebagai Onir Dutt, seorang dokter di salah satu seri Zee TV yang paling populer, Pavitra Rishta, pada tahun 2012 hingga 2013.[8]

Pada tahun 2012, ia juga menjadi pembawa acara Gyaan Guru dan Gumrah: End of Innocence.[9]

Pertunjukan pertamanya sebagai kontestan datang dengan Rasoi Ki Rani.[10]

Pada 2013, dia juga menjadi pembawa acara di Science With BrainCafe dan muncul di Yeh Hai Aashiqui sebagai Mayank berlawanan Kapoor dan di MTV Webbed sebagai Kavish Mehta selain dari cameo khusus di Star Plus acara Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.[11]

Proyek pertamanya di tahun 2014 adalah sebagai lawan main Avinash Charlie Chauhan di Zing acara Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.[12]

Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi dan Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (2014–sekarang)[sunting | sunting sumber]

Arora mencapai peran utama pertamanya pada Juni 2014, sebagai Ranveer Vaghela, seorang taipan bisnis yang sukses di Colors TV acara populer Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi berlawanan Radhika Madan dan kemudian juga memainkan saudara kembar Ranveer Milan Vaghela di dalamnya; peran ini memantapkan dirinya sebagai pemimpin yang sempurna.[13] Dia mendapatkan beberapa penghargaan dan nominasi untuk pertunjukan tersebut, sebelum berakhir pada Februari 2016.[14]

Bersamaan dengan "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi", ia juga ambil bagian dalam acara realitas dance Nach Baliye 7 pada tahun 2015.[15]

Arora juga memberikan penampilan tamu di Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 dan Krishnadasi sebagai karakternya Ranveer Vaghela dari Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi.[16]

Sebagai dirinya sendiri dia adalah seorang tamu di Comedy Nights Bachao dan sebagai Narator di Colors TV acara Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki.[17]

Pada tahun 2016, ia berkompetisi di musim 2 dari Box Cricket League.[18]

Pada tahun yang sama, ia berpartisipasi dalam acara realitas tari keduanya Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 sebagai kontestan.[19]

Dengan kembali ke pembawa acara, dia mengambil alih dari Nitish Bharadwaj di Man Mein Hai Visshwas 2.[20]

Pada Juni 2018, Arora mulai membintangi bersama Drashti Dhami dan Aditi Dev Sharma di Colors TV acara Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka sebagai Kunal Malhotra, seorang dokter anak dokter yang memiliki hubungan di luar nikah dengan sahabat istrinya ginekolog.[21] Dia keluar dari pertunjukan pada 2019.

Selanjutnya, pada tahun 2019 dia tampil sebagai dirinya sendiri di Colors TV acara realitas berbasis memasak Kitchen Champion 5.[22] Pada Juni 2022, dia menggantikan Dheeraj Dhoopar sebagai pemeran utama Karan Luthra di Zee TV acara Kundali Bhagya.[23][24] Namun, dia keluar dari serial tersebut pada Maret 2023 karena lompatan generasi dalam pertunjukan dan untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai proyek.[25]

Sejak Juni 2023, dia memerankan Ishaan Bhonsle di StarPlus acara populer Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin berlawanan dengan Bhavika Sharma dan Sumit Singh.[26]
