Kementerian Transportasi (bahasa Inggris: Ministry of Transport, MOT; bahasa Melayu: Kementerian Pengangkutan; Hanzi: 交通部; Tamil: போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சு) merupakan salah satu kementerian di bawah Pemerintah Singapura yang bertanggung jawab atas administrasi dan regulasi transportasi darat, laut, dan udara di Singapura.

Sejarah[sunting | sunting sumber]

Kementerian Transportasi dibentuk pada 23 November 2001 dari Kementerian Komunikasi dan Teknologi Informasi. Portofolio teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi dipindahkan ke Kementerian Informasi, Komunikasi, dan Seni, sekarang dikenal sebagai Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informasi.[2]

Struktur organisasi[sunting | sunting sumber]

Saat ini, kementerian menugaskan dan mengatur empat badan otonom pemerintah: Otoritas Penerbangan Sipil Singapura (Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, CAAS), Otoritas Angkutan Darat (Land Transport Authority, LTA), Otoritas Maritim dan Pelabuhan Singapura (Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, MPA), dan Majelis Angkutan Umum (Public Transport Council, PTC), yang mengimplementasikan kebijakan kementerian dan arahan taktis.

Kementerian ini memiliki tujuh divisi dengan kekuatan personil lebih dari 180 orang. Divisi-divisi ialah: Divisi Transportasi Udara, Divisi Angkutan Darat, Divisi Transportasi Laut, Divisi Hubungan Internasional dan Keamanan, Divisi Komunikasi Korporat, Divisi Pengembangan Korporat, dan Biro Investigasi Kecelakaan Udara (AAIB)[3][4]
