Ashley Michelle Tisdale (lahir 2 Juli 1985) adalah seorang aktris, penari, penyanyi dan produser asal Amerika Serikat. Ia mulai dikenal setelah memerankan tokoh Maddie Fitzpatrick dalam sitkom Disney Channel, 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody' serta tokoh antagonis, Sharpay Evans dalam film High School Musical. Kepopuleran film 'High School Musical' membuatnya ditawari kontrak rekaman oleh Warner Bros. Records pada tahun 2006 dan merilis dua buah album studio, "Headstrong" (2007) dan "Guilty Pleasure"[1] (2009).

Selain itu, ia menjadi pengisi suara tokoh Candace Flynn dalam 'Phineas & Ferb'.[2][3] Tisdale juga mendirikan sebuah perusahaan produksi bernama Blondie Girl Production[4][5] dan telah menjadi eksekutif produser di beberapa film dan acara TV termasuk 'Picture This' dan 'Miss Advised'. Kehidupan awal

Tisdale lahir di Deal, New Jersey, Amerika Serikat pada tanggal 2 Juli 1985,[6]. Ia adalah anak kedua dari pasangan Mike Tisdale dan Lisa Tisdale. Ia memiliki seorang kakak perempuan bernama Jennifer Tisdale, yang juga seorang aktris. Ketika masih kecil ia tinggal dan dibesarkan di Ocean Township. Tisdale adalah seorang penganut agama Yahudi.[7]

Di usia 3 tahun, ia bertemu dengan seorang manajer bernama Bill Perlman, di sebuah mal di New Jersey. Bill Perlman membawanya untuk ikut dalam sebuah audisi untuk iklan. Semenjak itu, ia telah membintangi lebih dari 100 iklan di stasiun televisi nasional.[8] Ia memulai karier akting dengan tampil di berakting di teater. Ia juga mulai merambah dunia tarik suara ketika tampil dalam teater untuk pertunjukan musikal 'laskar pelangi' di usia 8 tahun. Bahkan pada usia 12 tahun, Tisdale pernah bernyanyi di Gedung Putih tepat di hadapan presiden Amerika Serikat saat itu, Bill Clinton.

Karier

Di awal tahun 2000, Tisdale telah mendapatkan peran kecil dalam beberapa serial TV seperti 'The Hughleys', 'Smart Guy', '7th Heaven', 'Boston Public' dan 'Bette' serta dalam film 'A Bug's Life' dan 'Donnie Darko'. Untuk aktingnya dalam 'Boston Public', ia berhasil menerima penghargaan Young Artist Award untuk nominasi "Best Guest Performance In a TV Drama".

Pada tahun 2004, ia memerankan tokoh Maddie Fitzpatrick dalam sitkom 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody'. Sitkom itu ditayangkan di Disney Channel pada bulan Maret 2005 dan episode terakhirnya ditayangkan pada tahun 2008.[9] Beberapa waktu kemudian, ia memenangkan nominasi "Best TV Actress" dalam Kids' Choice Award berkat perannya sebagai Maddie Fitzpatrick dalam sitkom tersebut.

Meskipun para produser kurang setuju dengan tampilannya Tisdale dalam film 'High School Musical', namun pada akhirnya ia tetap memerankan tokoh Sharpay Evans dalam film itu pada tahun 2006. Album soundtrack 'High School Musical' menjadi album paling laris di Amerika Serikat.[11] Bahkan, lagu Tisdale yang berjudul "What I've Been Looking For" serta "Bop to the Top" berhasil masuk ke Billboard Hot 100.

Berkat kepopuleran 'High School Musical', ia mendapatkan tawaran rekaman oleh Warner Bros. Records dan menadatangani kontraknya pada bulan Juli 2006. Ia merilis album debutnya, "Headstrong"[12] pada bulan Februari 2007 dan langsung menduduki peringkat nomor 5 di Billboard 200 setelah terjual 64 ribu kopi dalam minggu pertama dirilis.[13] Singel pertama dari album, "Be Good to Me" dirilis pada bulan Desember 2006 untuk mempromosikan album ini.[14] Pada bulan September 2007, ia merilis singel keduanya, "He Said She Said".[15][16] Pada tahun 2008, "Not Like That" dan "Suddenly" dirilis sebagai singel di beberapa negara. Sebuah DVD berjudul 'There's Something About Ashley'[17] turut dirilis untuk mempromosikan album "Headstrong" .

Pada tahun 2007, Tisdale kembali memerankan tokoh Sharpay Evans dalam film 'High School Musical 2'[18] dan juga mengisi lagu untuk soundtracknya. Film ini meraih kesuksesan yang sama seperti film pertamanya.[19] Pada tahun 2008, 'High School Musical 3' juga dirilis, namun sebagai film yang ditayangkan di bioskop-bioskop. Tisdale merilis album keduanya, "Guilty Pleasure" pada tanggal 11 Juni 2009[20] di Eropa dan 28 Juli 2009 di Amerika Utara. Singel pertama dari album, "It's Alright, It's OK" pertama kali diperdengarkan pada acara On Air with Ryan Seacrest dan dirilis secara resmi pada tanggal 14 April 2009.[21] Album ini langsung menduduki peringkat nomor 12 di Billboard 200 setelah terjual lebih dari 25 ribu kopi di minggu pertamanya.[22] Sedangkan singel kedua juga terakhirnya, "Crank It Up" dirilis pada tanggal 16 Oktober 2009 di Eropa.

Selama tahun 2011, Tisdale mulai fokus ke kariernya sebagai aktris dan produser. Ia mendirikan sebuah perusahaan produksi bernama Blondie Girl Production[4] dan telah bekerja sama dengan Relativity Media pada tahun 2010. Ia telah bekerja sebagai produser dalam berbagai proyek. Pada tahun 2012, ia memproduseri sebuah reality show berjudul 'Miss Advised' yang diadaptasi dari sebuah buku karya Laurie Faria Stolarz yang berjudul Blue Is for Nightmares dan akan ditayangkan di ABC Family.

Pada bulan Juni 2012, The Weinstein Company mengumumkan bahwa Tisdale akan membintangi film 'Scary Movie 5'[23][24] yang merupakan sekuel kelima dari film seri 'Scary Movie' yang pertama kali dirilis pada tahun 2000.
