Peter Green (sejarawan)

Peter Morris Green (l. 22 Desember 1924) adalah seorang sarjana klasik Britania Raya yang terkenal karena karyanya tentang Aleksander Agung dan Periode Helenistik dalam sejarah kuno, umunya dianggap sebagai yang mencakup era dari kematian Aleksander pada 323 SM hingga baik tanggal dari Pertempuran Actium atau kematian Augustus pada 14 M. Buku Green yang paling terkenal adalah Alexander of Macedon, sebuah biografi sejarah yang pertama dikeluarkan pada 1970, kemudian direvisi dan edisi diperluas pada 1974, yang pertama dipublikasikan pada 1991; Alexander to Actium nya, sebuah catatan umum Periode Helenistik, dan karya lainnya.

Dia juga menulis terjemahan Satires, yakni sebuah puisi Roma, Juvenal.
