Biografi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Milcho Manchevski menulis dan menyutradarai film fitur Before the Rain (1994), Dust (2001), Shadows (2007) dan Mothers (2011), serta 50 video pendek, termasuk Thursday (2013) dan Tennessee untuk Arrested Development (1991). Ia juga menjadi sutradara pada The Wire di HBO. Ia mengadakan dua pameran fotografi, karya fiksi dan penampilan seni.
Before the Rain memenangkan sebuah nominasi Academy-Award dan tiga puluh penghargaan, yang meliputi Golden Lion untuk Film Terbaik di Venesia, Independent Spirit, FIPRESCI, UNESCO, film terbaik tahun ini di Argentina, Italia, Swedia, Turki, dan penghargaan-penghargaan lain di Austria, Belgia, Brasil, Polandia, Puerto Rico, Rusia, dll.
