Jeffrey Bruma telah bermain untuk Chelsea sejak tahun 2009. Pada bulan Januari 2011 ia dipinjamkan ke Leicester City hingga akhir musim 2010—11.[3] Pada bulan Juni 2011, Bruma kembali dipinjamkan kali ini ke tim Bundesliga Hamburger SV hingga akhir musim 2011—12, dengan opsi perpanjangan masa peminjaman selama satu musim.[4] Pada 24 Mei 2012, kontrak peminjaman Bruma diperpanjang hingga akhir musim 2012–13.[5]
