Perang nuklir adalah peperangan di mana senjata nuklir digunakan. Ini hanya berlaku sekali - pengeboman kota Hiroshima dan Nagasaki oleh Amerika Serikat terhadap Kekaisaran Jepang yang mengakhiri Perang Dunia II di Asia. Pada masa kini istilah ini biasanya merujuk kepada konfrontasi di mana kedua pihak berlawanan dilengkapi dengan senjata nuklir. Dibanding perang konvensional, perang nuklir lebih hebat daya ledaknya dan menghasilkan jumlah kerusakan lebih besar.
Sejarah
Amerika Serikat merupakan satu-satunya negara yang pernah menggunakan senjata nuklir semasa perang, bekerjasama dengan Britania Raya dan menggunakan dua bom atom yaitu Fat Man dan Little Boy ke kota Hiroshima dan Nagasaki pada 1945.
