Turki atau Türkiye ?

yang mana yang benar untuk versi Indonesia ? kalau di artikel English Wikipedia itu tetap Turkey. dan juga saya melihat beberapa kali perang sunting/edit mengenai judul artikel ini Meabook (bicara) 2 Oktober 2022 11.50 (UTC)

dan kenapa media Indonesia masih menyebutkan Turki di artikelnya setelah permintaan perubahan nama ke PBB? Meabook (bicara) 2 Oktober 2022 12.42 (UTC)

Perubahan nama negara, seharusnya tidak perlu voting di wikipedia. Isinya di artikel Turki sudah benar, disebut Turki atau Turkiye. Dan masalah penyebutan di media Indonesia, seharusnya tidak disangkutpautkan dengan Wikipedia, karena itu beda konteks. Ada orang yang belum biasa menyebut Turkiye, jadi masih menyebut Turki. Atau ada juga reporter atau pekerja media yang belum mengetahui perubahan itu, bisa jadi. Seperti nama Nur-Sultan, di Kazakhstan, yang diubah lagi menjadi Astana pada bulan lalu, ya diubah saja, gk perlu pake voting-voting setuju atau tidak. Di artikel bahasa Indonesia masih terjadi beberapa kali editan antara Turki dan Turkiye, tapi sudah benar dituliskan seperti di atas. Demikian. Herryz (bicara) 2 Oktober 2022 13.01 (UTC)

Begini saja teman-teman, daripada kita capek-capek memikirkan pengubahan judulnya lebih baik disesuaikan dengan cara kita melafalkan suatu negara. Toh, pengucapan setiap negara berbeda-beda seperti Wikipedia Inggris masih menyebutnya dengan Turkey, Wikipedia versi Turki menyebutnya Türkiye dan lainnya. Jadi bagaimana kalau kita tetap mempertahankan judulnya Turki sesuai dengan pelafalan umum kita? Si Badak Piye kabare? Welcome 2 Oktober 2022 13.28 (UTC)

Di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia, kita menganut WP:COMMONNAME dalam pedoman kita, di sini kita menggunakan istilah yang paling umum digunakan. Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia bahkan Bahasa Indonesia tidak wajib mengikuti permintaan suatu negara manapun, ingat kita negara merdeka dan kita punya aturan sendiri dan Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia juga punya kebijakan sendiri.

Bisa dicek untuk:

• Turki: per 2023-02-16 menghasilkan Sekitar 83.400.000 hasil (0,49 detik) ,sedangkan
• Turkiye: menghasilkan Sekitar 5.460.000 hasil (0,42 detik)

Jelas, halaman Turki jauh lebih populer. Halaman Turki bisa dipindahkan ke Turkiye jika kata "Turkiye" sudah menjadi kata populer, setidaknya jika sudah sebanding popularitasnya dengan kata "Turki"- Ariyanto 16 Februari 2023 00.26 (UTC)

Catatan: Orang Turki menyebut negara kita dengan sebutan Endonezya atau Endonezya Cumhuriyeti, bukan REPUBLIK INDONESIA seperti nama resmi negara kita, jadi kenapa kita harus menyesuaikan dengan lidah mereka sementara mereka pun menyebut negara kita dengan "suka-suka lidah mereka"?- Ariyanto 16 Februari 2023 00.35 (UTC)
