eFootball merupakan permainan video sepak bola yang dikembangkan dan diterbitkan oleh Konami. Sebelumnya permainan ini bernama Pro Evolution Soccer (dikenal sebagai Winning Eleven di Jepang).[1] Tahun pertama game yang bertajuk eFootball 2022 ini dirilis pada 30 September 2021. Pada 21 Juli 2021, Konami merilis video berdurasi enam menit yang mengungkap game baru tersebut.[2] Pengumuman tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa merek Pro Evolution Soccer telah dihapus.[3]

Permainan ini akan dirilis pada PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, dan Xbox Series X/S pada 30 September 2021.[4][2] Permainan ini dibuat menggunakan Unreal Engine 4 untuk pertama kalinya oleh waralaba ini.[5]

Pada tanggal 8 Oktober 2021, Konami mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan merilis pembaruan baru dengan perbaikan untuk masalah game tersebut pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2021.[6] Pembaruan dan rilis ditunda hingga November 2021.[7] Konami kemudian meluncurkan pembaruan 0.9.1 pada 5 November,[8] dan mengumumkan bahwa rilis pembaruan 1.0 ditunda hingga musim semi 2022.[9] Versi 1.0.0 eFootball 2022 akhirnya diumumkan pada 6 April 2022, dengan tanggal rilis pada 14 April 2022.[10]
