Depresi Afar (juga disebut Depresi Danakil atau Segitiga Afar) adalah depresi yang terletak di dekat Tanduk Afrika. Di Depresi Afar ditemukan banyak fosil hominid; Gona, situs peralatan batu tertua di dunia; dan Hadar, tempat ditemukannya Lucy, spesimen Australopithecus afarensis.
