Maximillian Oppenheimer (/ˈɒpənˌhaɪmər/; 6 Mei 1902 – 26 Maret 1957),[1] juga dikenal sebagai Max Ophüls (/ˈɔːfəls/;[2] Jerman: [ˈɔfʏls]), adalah seorang sutradara film Jerman-Prancis yang berkarya di Jerman (1931–1933), Prancis (1933–1940 dan 1950–1957), dan Amerika Serikat (1947–1950). Ia membuat nyaris 30 film, yang meliputi La Ronde (1950), Le Plaisir (1952), The Earrings of Madame de… (1953) dan Lola Montès (1955). Ia disebut sebagai Max Opuls pada kebanyakan film Amerika buatannya, yang meliputi The Reckless Moment, Caught, Letter from an Unknown Woman, dan The Exile.
