"Economic Calculation In The Socialist Commonwealth" adalah artikel karya ekonom Mazhab Austria, Ludwig von Mises. Kritiknya terhadap perhitungan ekonomi dalam ekonomi terencana memicu perdebatan perhitungan ekonomi yang berlangsung hingga beberapa dasawarsa.[1][2]
Artikel ini pertama kali diterbitkan tahun 1920 dalam bahasa Jerman dengan judul "Die Wirtschaftsrechnung im sozialistischen Gemeinwesen".[3] Artikel tersebut diangkat dari kuliah yang disampaikan Mises tahun 1919 sebagai tanggapan untuk buku karya Otto Neurath; Neurath mendukung kelayakan perencanaan terpusat.[3] Mises berpendapat bahwa barang modal tidak dapat diberi harga di dalam ekonomi sosial apabila pemerintah menguasai alat produksi. Dalam ekonomi sosial, semua jenis pertukaran barang bersifat internal sehingga mengabaikan mekanisme harga.
Dua tahun kemudian, artikel ini disertakan di Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis karya Mises.
