Heinrich XIV (29 September-1305 – 1 September 1339) merupakan seorang Adipati Bayern Hilir (juga disebut Heinrich II).
Keluarga
[sunting | sunting sumber]Heinrich dilahirkan di Landshut, putra Stephan I, Adipati Bayern, dan Jutta dari Schweidnitz.
Eyang maternalnya adalah Bolko I, Adipati Jawor dan Świdnica dan Beatrix dari Brandenburg.
Bolko adalah putra Bolesław II dan istri pertamanya Jadwiga dari Anhalt. Beatrix adalah putri Otto V, Margrave Brandenburg-Salzwedel dan Jutta dari Hennenberg.
Biografi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Setelah kematian ayahandanya, ia menjadi adipati Bayern Hilir bersama dengan saudaranya Otto IV di bawah asuhan Ludwig IV, Kaisar Romawi Suci. Heinrich mendukung Ludwig menentang Friedrich I dan menjadi seorang kandidat untuk mahkota Jerman ketika Louis mempertimbangkan pengunduran dirinya untuk sementara pada tahun 1333.
Konflik dengan saudaranya Otto IV (meninggal 1334) dan sepupunya, Heinrich XV, Adipati Bayern atas partisi tanah mereka memperburuk hubungan di antara kaisar dan Heinrich XIV, yang bersekutu dengan ayah mertuanya, Jan Lucemburský. Beberapa bulan setelah rekonsiliasi dengan Ludwig IV pada bulan Februari 1339, Heinrich meninggal karena penyakit kusta dan digantikan oleh putranya Johann I.
