Deepika Singh (lahir 26 Juli 1989) adalah seorang aktris televisi India.[2] Dia dikenal karena memainkan peran Sandhya dalam Star Plus acara Diya Aur Baati Hum.[3]
Kehidupan awal
[sunting | sunting sumber]Deepika Singh lahir pada tanggal 26 Juli 1989 di Dehli dalam keluarga Rajput. Dia memiliki tiga adik laki-laki (2 saudara perempuan dan satu saudara laki-laki). Adik Deepika, Anamika Singh, telah melakukan debut layar lebar dengan film Bollywood Yeh Hai Lollipop.
Singh menyelesaikan Magister Administrasi Bisnis di bidang Pemasaran[4] di Punjab Technical University.
Kehidupan pribadi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Singh menikah dengan sutradara acara televisinya Rohit Raj Goyal pada 2 Mei 2014.[5] Pada Januari 2017, Singh mengumumkan berita kehamilannya kepada media dan penggemarnya.[6] Pada Mei 2017, Deepika melahirkan bayi laki-laki.[7]
Karier
[sunting | sunting sumber]Deepika membuat debut televisi dengan serial hit Diya Aur Baati Hum sebagai Sandhya Rathi yang dimulai dari Agustus 2011 di Star Plus.[8] Acara ini ditayangkan selama 5 tahun dan merupakan salah satu acara lari terpanjang terbaik.[9] Deepika memainkan peran seorang gadis yang bermimpi menjadi seorang petugas IPS yang kemudian mendapat bantuan dari suami dan ibu mertuanya. Dia memainkan peran itu selama 5 tahun hingga pertunjukannya tayang pada September 2016.[10] Dia menerima banyak penghargaan untuk perannya sebagai Sandhya seperti ITA Award for Desh Ki Dhadkan - Best Actress - Popular.[11] 3 tahun berturut-turut, Singh menang Favourite Bahu penghargaan pada 2012, 2013 dan 2014. Pada 2016 ia juga memenangkan Nayi Soch Award.[12]
Pada tahun 2018 ia membuat seri web yang disebut The Real Soulmate. Dia juga berpartisipasi dalam Ekta Kapoor acara Box Cricket League pada 2014 dan 2019. Pada Mei 2019, ia terlihat di Colors TV acara supernatural Kavach... Mahashivrathi sebagai Sandhya Patwardhan.[13]
