Prachanda (bahasa Nepali: प्रचण्ड, IPA: [pɾəʦəɳɖə]; lahir 11 Desember 1954, lahir dengan nama Pushpa Kumal Dahal) adalah politikus Nepal yang pernah menjabat sebagai Perdana Menteri Nepal. Seorang revolusioner komunis, politikus, dan bekas pemimpin gerilya, ia adalah Ketua Partai Komunis Nepal (Maois) (CPN), partai politik terbesar di Nepal. Di bawah kepemimpinannya, CPN (M) melancarkan Perang Sipil Nepal pada 13 Februari 1996, menyebabkan 13.000 orang tewas dalam pertempuran antara partai dan pemerintah.[1]

Perluasan paham Marxisme-Leninisme-Maoisme oleh Prachanda untuk mengendalikan situasi Nepal dikenal sebagai Jalan Prachanda. "Prachanda" adalah nama samaran, sebagaimana "Lenin" dan "Hồ Chí Minh". "Prachanda" berarti "orang yang serius".

Majelis Konstitusi menetapkan Prachanda sebagai Perdana Menteri pada 15 Agustus 2008.[2] Ia disumpah sebagai Perdana Menteri pada 18 Agustus 2008.[3] Pada 4 Mei 2009, ia mengundurkan diri setelah koalisi partai pendukungnya runtuh, setelah sebelumnya terjadi krisis dalam kekuasaan setelah Presiden Nepal mendukung kepala militer Nepal untuk tidak menerima bekas pejuang pemberontak Maois ke dalam ketentaraan.[4]
