Randall Park (lahir 23 Maret 1974)[1][2][3] adalah seorang aktor, komedian, dan penulis asal Amerika Serikat. Dia dikenal memerankan ayah Louis Huang dalam sitkom ABC, Fresh Off the Boat (2015–2020), di mana dia dinominasikan untuk Critics' Choice Television Award untuk Aktor Terbaik dalam Serial Komedi pada tahun 2016. Pada tahun 2014, ia berperan sebagai Kim Jong-Un dalam The Interview. Kehidupan Awal

Park lahir dari imigran Korea di Los Angeles, California dan dibesarkan di Castle Heights, Los Angeles.[4] Ibunya adalah seorang akuntan di Universitas California, Los Angeles (UCLA) dan ayahnya memiliki toko foto.[5] Park lulus dari SMA Hamilton.[6][7]

Park mulai kuliah di UCLA pada musim dingin tahun 1993.[8] Sebagai mahasiswa, pada tahun 1995 ia ikut mendirikan "Lapu, the Coyote that Cares," perusahaan teater Asia-Amerika terbesar dan terlama di kampus, sekarang dikenal sebagai LCC Theatre Company.[9][10][11][12] Dia memuji pengalamannya dengan LCC karena memicu keinginannya untuk akting secara profesional dan akan terus berkolaborasi dengan banyak alumninya.[13] Penampilan pertama mereka adalah Treehouse Bachelor Society, sebuah drama yang ditulis Park, dan ditampilkan di Northwest Auditorium.[13] Park juga menjadi sukarelawan mahasiswa untuk badan amal resmi UCLA, UCLA UniCamp, dan menggunakan nama kamp "CareMoose."[4]

Dia lulus dengan gelar sarjana dalam bahasa Inggris, dengan konsentrasi dalam penulisan kreatif,[14] dan minor dalam studi Asia Amerika dari UCLA pada tahun 1997.[8][15] Dia tetap di UCLA, untuk melanjutkan akting dengan LCC, dan kemudian menyelesaikan gelar masternya dalam studi Asia Amerika pada tahun 1999.[7][16][17] Setelah lulus, Park bekerja di surat kabar mingguan New Times LA sebagai desainer grafis/cetak selama beberapa tahun. Park menikah dengan aktris Jae Suh Park. Mereka bekerja bersama di The Mindy Project dan film pendek Love, NY. Mereka tinggal di San Fernando Valley.[18]

Park kembali ke UCLA sebagai pembicara utama untuk upacara pembukaan departemen Studi Asia Amerika pada tahun 2015 dan untuk upacara pembukaan departemen bahasa Inggris pada tahun 2017.[19][20]

Park dan Jae Suh memiliki seorang putri, Ruby Louise Park, yang lahir pada tahun 2012. Ruby Louise berperan bersama orang tuanya, sebagai bayi pahlawan super yang memerangi kejahatan di "Baby Mentalist", serial web komedi yang dikembangkan oleh ayahnya pada tahun 2013.[21][22] Ruby Louise termasuk dalam spektrum autisme.
