Dengan Tujuan untuk Balapan pada musim 2020, namun untuk mengurangi Biaya untuk musim 2021, maka sasis akan digunakan kembali, mengingat kontrak antara tim McLaren dengan Mercedes untuk mengunakan Mesin mereka, tim McLaren akan mengunakan mobil musim 2020 dengan mesin yang berbeda.
