Acalypha atau bantinuh (bahasa Inggris : copperleaf) dalah salah satu genus tumbuhan berbunga terbesar dalam famili Euphorbiaceae, dengan sekitar 450 hingga 462 spesies tumbuhan.[1][2][3] Genus ini merupakan satu-satunya genus dalam subtribus Acalyphinae. Penamaannya berasal dari sebuah kata dalam bahasa Yunani Kuno, yakni ἀκαλύφη (akalúphē) yang berarti "jelatang", bentuk alternatif dari ἀκαλήφη (akalḗphē).[4] Dinamakan demikian karena daunnya mirip seperti daun Jelatang.[5] Anggotanya tersebar di daerah tropis dan subtropis, dengan sekitar 60% dari keseluruhan spesiesnya merupakan tumbuhan asli Amerika, dan sekitar 30% dari keseluruhan spesiesnya merupakan tumbuhan asli Afrika.[6]
