John Otto Ondawame, M.Sc., Ph.D. (30 November 1953 – 4 September 2014) adalah seorang akademisi dan aktivis gerakan pembebasan Papua Barat. Dia adalah kepala Kantor Perwakilan Rakyat Papua Barat di Port Vila, Vanuatu, juru bicara internasional untuk Organisasi Papua Merdeka, dan anggota Presidium Dewan Papua. Memperoleh gelar PhD dalam ilmu politik dari Universitas Nasional Australia di Canberra pada 2000, gelar MSc dari University of Western Sydney pada 1995, Graduate Diploma dari Universitas Sydney pada 1994 dan Universitas Uppsala pada 1986, dan gelar Bachelor of Arts dari Universitas Cenderawasih, Papua Barat pada tahun 1976. Ia berkewarganegaraan Swedia.[1]
Ondawame melakukan perdamaian yang ekstensif[2] dan kampanye kesadaran publik di berbagai negara, mempromosikan solusi damai untuk konflik di Papua Barat,[3][4] dan membangun hubungan solidaritas di antara masyarakat tertindas, terjajah dan kaum pribumi.[5][6]
Dia adalah penerima Reconciliation Award 2001 yang dianugerahkan oleh kelompok Australians Against Execution, dan Penghargaan Presiden Suharto untuk Keunggulan Akademik 1972.[1]
Dia meninggal pada 4 September 2014.[7]
