Film tersebut diproduksi oleh Howard Hughes dan Howard Hawks dan disutradarai oleh Hawks.[3]
Film tersebut menjadi dasar dari film tahun 1983 bernama sama Brian De Palma yang dibintangi oleh Al Pacino.[4]
