Prasyarat
- Buat lah subhalaman dahulu. Bila portal anda adalah "Portal:Foo", maka subhalamannya misalnya "Portal:Foo/Gambar pilihan".
- Pada subhalaman tersebut, buatlah subhalaman lagi, yang harus diberi nama 1, 2, 3, ... tanpa 0. Dan tidak memakai awalan 0. Misalnya, "Portal:Foo/Gambar pilihan/1".
Parameter
Pemakaian templat ini sangat mudah:
- header:(opsional) Judul kotak, bila tak ditulis, akan menampilkan judul subhalaman.
- footer: (optional) Text footer untuk kotak, misalnya "Gambar pilihan lainnya..."
- subpage: Subhalaman yang dipakai, misalnya "Gambar pilihan"
- max: Jumlah maksimum sub-subhalaman. Harus berupa integer positif.
- seed: (opsional) Seed default adalah 17 dan bisa di-set ke nilai integer lainya (gunanya untuk menghasilkan nilai berbeda pada halaman yang sama). Bilangan prima, misalnya 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97, 101, 103, 107, 109, and 113.
