Woo Jin-won (bahasa Korea: 우진원, 25 Oktober 1978) atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama panggungnya, Masta Wu, (bahasa Korea: 마스타 우) adalah rapper, penulis lagu dan produser asal Korea Selatan.[2] Ia sebelumnya memiliki nama panggung Ginnwon.[3] Ia juga merupakan bagian dari duo proyek hip hop YMGA.[4]

Karier

Setelah sukses menjadi underground rapper, Woo menandatangani kontrak dengan YG Entertainment.[4] Ia merilis album pertamanya yang berjudul Masta Peace pada tahun 2003[5] dan album keduanya Brand Wu Year pada tahun 2007.[6]

Pada tahun 2014, ia menjadi salah satu produser dari kompetisi rap Show Me The Money 3.[7][8]

Ia menulis beberapa lagu untuk rekan satu labelnya, seperti duo Hi Suhyun, penyanyi solo Lee Hi dan girl band 2NE1. [2][9][10] Hingga April 2015, tercatat ada 74 kredit pembuatan lagu atas namanya di Asosiasi Hak Cipta Musik Korea.[11]

Pada Januari 2016, ia mengumumkan keluar dari YG Entertainment untuk mendirikan label rekamannya sendiri.[1]
