Kisah tentang wanita berwajah babi merupakan kisah yang cukup terkenal di Inggris, Belanda dan Perancis pada tahun 1630an. Kisah ini bercerita tentang seorang wanita bangsawan yang sedang mengandung lalu didekati pengemis. Karena tidak suka si wanita bangsawan mengusir sang pengemis dan anaknya, karena marah, sang pengemis mengutuk sang janin agar memiliki tubuh manusia tapi tingkah laku dan wajah babi.
Waktu sang wanita bangsawan melahirkan, ajaibnya memang si anak persis seperti yang dikutuk si pengemis. Si anak selalu menguik, lari kesana kemari dengan liar. Sayangnya juga keluarga bangsawan cuma punya anak itu sebagai pewaris, karena khawatir akan nasib si anak sewaktu mereka meninggal, maka mereka memutuskan menaruh si anak di sebuah rumah sakit supaya ada yang mengurus si anak sampai mati.
