Nelson Alexander "Alex" Ross (lahir 22 Januari 1970)[1] adalah seorang pelukis komik, ilustrator dan penulis cerita, karyanya yang bergaya photorealisme selalu di kagumi orang. Ross terkenal karena kecintaannya terhadap penampilan kuno dari tokoh-tokoh klasik dan elemen mitos superhero karyanya.

Dari tahun 90-an akhir, Ross telah membuat karya untuk dua industri komik terbesar dan penerbit paling historis sepanjang zaman, DC Comics dan Marvel Comics, tetapi Ross juga sebagai kreator kedua Astro City, sebuah seri asli yang mengeksploitasi mitos superhero.

Walaupun ia sosok yang terkenal untuk DC dan Marvel, ia lebih dikenal sebagai seniman DC, seperti karyanya Kingdom Come yang diciptakan untuk DC. Alex Ross lahir di Portland, Oregon, dan dibesarkan di Lubbock, Texas,[6][7] oleh ayah pendeta, Clark, dan ibunya, seorang seniman komersial[6] dari siapa dia akan belajar banyak dari merek dagang dari gaya artistiknya.[2] Ross pertama kali mulai menggambar pada usia tiga tahun, dan pertama kali dipengaruhi oleh pahlawan super saat ia menemukan Spider-Man di sebuah episode serial TV anak-anak The Electric Company.[6][8]

Ross juga mendesain kostum dari Batwoman yang sekarang, karakter ini dirilis melalui serial mainan "52".
