Derita Dunia Pertama (bahasa Inggris: First World problem) adalah istilah slang untuk permasalahan yang sering dikeluhkan oleh masyarakat Dunia Pertama, padahal ada permasalahan lain yang jauh lebih genting.[1] Istilah ini masuk Oxford Dictionary Online pada November 2012[2] dan Macquarie Dictionary Online pada Desember 2012.[3] Ini dikategorikan sebagai argumen penderitaan relatif (fallacy of relative privation).[4]

Istilah "First World problem" pertama kali muncul tahun di buku Built Environment tahun 1979 karya G. K. Payne,[5] kemudian mulai menyebar dalam bentuk meme Internet pada tahun 2005 melalui situs-situs jejaring sosial seperti Twitter.[6][7] Istilah ini digunakan untuk mengurangi keluhan-keluhan sepele (trivial) dengan cara menyinggung pengeluhnya secara langsung[8] atau bercanda sambil menyindir diri sendiri.[5] Menurut survei UNICEF di Selandia Baru, lambatnya akses Internet merupakan "derita Dunia Pertama" yang paling sering dikeluhkan.[9]
