Peter Andreas Thiel (lahir 1967) adalah seorang pengusaha, manajer pengelola investasi global, libertarian dan pemodal usaha keturunan Jerman berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat. Bersama Elon Musk dan Max Levchin, Thiel membantu mendirikan PayPal dan menjabat sebagai CEO perusahaan. Ia saat ini menjabat sebagai presiden Clarium Capital, sebuah pengelola investasi makro global dengan aset dalam pengelolaan senilai $2 miliar, dan rekanan manajer The Founders Fund, sebuah perusahaan modal senilai $275 juta yang ia luncurkan bersama Ken Howery dan Luke Nosek tahun 2005. Ia juga merupakan investor awal Facebook, situs jejaring sosial terkenal dan menjabat di dewan direktur perusahaan.
