Protozoologi

Protozoologi merupakan cabang biologi (dan mikrobiologi) yang mengkhususkan diri dalam mempelajari kehidupan dan klasifikasi protozoa. Secara klasik, objek pengkajiannya adalah empat kelompok besar protozoa: Amoeboidea, Ciliata, Flagellata, dan Sporozoa. Sekarang diketahui bahwa keempat kelompok ini tidak banyak memiliki kemiripan secara genetik dan sering kali dibahas secara terpisah.
