Simon Ritter von Stampfer (lahir 26 Oktober 1792 (menurut sumber lain 1790), di Windisch-Mattrai, Keuskupan Agung Salzburg yang saat ini bernama Matrei in Osttirol, Tyrol – meninggal pada 10 November 1864 di Vienna), adalah seorang matematikawan, seorang ilmu pengukur wilayah, dan penemu asal Austria. Penemuannya yang paling terkenal adalah disk stroboskopik yang menjadi perangkat pertama untuk menampilkan gambar bergerak. Perangkat yang ditemukannya itu diproduksi hampir secara bersamaan di Belgia (Fenakistiskop), dan di Britania (zoetrop).
