Kapten Shatiel Semenovich Abramov adalah seorang Yahudi Pegunungan yang lahir di Derbent, Dagestan pada tanggal 11 November 1918 - 14 Mei 2004[1][2] .[3] Setelah merampungkan pelatihan dalam sebuah sekolah infanteri[3] pada 1940, ia masuk Angkatan Darat Uni Soviet dan berjuang dalam Perang Dunia II.
