Marbury v. Madison adalah keputusan Mahkamah Agung Amerika Serikat yang menjadi landasan hukum untuk melakukan pengujian yudisial berdasarkan Pasal III Konstitusi Amerika Serikat. Keputusan ini membantu menetapkan batas antara cabang eksekutif dengan yudikatif.
Perkara ini bermula dari permohonan William Marbury ke Mahkamah Agung. Ia telah diangkat sebagai Justice of the Peace di Washington, D.C. oleh Presiden John Adams, tetapi surat pengangkatannya tidak diantarkan. Marbury lalu memohon kepada Mahkamah Agung untuk memaksa Sekretaris Negara James Madison untuk mengantarkan dokumen tersebut. Mahkamah Agung pertama-tama menyatakan bahwa penolakan Madison untuk mengantarkan surat tersebut merupakan tindakan yang ilegal. Namun, Mahkamah Agung tidak memerintahkan Madison untuk menyerahkan surat tersebut, tetapi malah menegaskan bahwa isi Undang-Undang Peradilan 1789 yang mengizinkan Marbury untuk membuat permohonan kepada Mahkamah Agung itu sendiri tidak konstitusional karena dianggap telah memperluas yurisdiksi pengadilan di luar cakupan Pasal III Konstitusi Amerika Serikat. Maka dari itu, permohonan ini pun ditolak.
