Pembakuan atau standardisasi adalah proses menerapkan dan mengembangkan baku teknis berdasarkan kesepakatan berbagai pihak, terutama dalam bidang teknologi dan industri.^[1] Pembakuan dapat membantu memaksimalkan kecocokan, keantaroperasian, keamanan, keterulangan, atau mutu.^[2]. Contoh pembakuan adalah penggunaan sistem metrik dalam pengukuran di seluruh dunia secara resmi.

Badan internasional yang menangani dan menetapkan pembakuan internasional adalah ISO (Organisasi Standardisasi Internasional).
