Mamalia prasejarah merupakan kelompok mamalia yang hidup sebelum keberadaan kaum manusia. Sekitar 164 juta tahun lalu, pada masa Jura, Castorocauda lutrasimilis, hewan menyerupai mamalia (mammaliaform) yang memiliki berat berkisar 500 gram (1.1 lb), memiliki kulit mamalia sepenuhnya.
Kemudian, 130 juta tahun lalu pada periode Cretaceous, terdapat mamalia besar, termasuk Repenomamus giganticus dan Repenomamus robustus. Fosil sepanjang hampir hampir satu meter telah ditemukan, dengan sisa-sisa dinosaurus ditemukan dalam kandungan isi perutnya.
