Dr. Warsito (Solo, 1967) adalah seorang penemu alat pemindai tubuh (tomografi) yang lebih murah dan akurat yang dinamakan ECVT (electrical capacitance volume tomography) [1]. Warsito meraih gelar doktor dari Universitas Shizuoka Jepang tahun 1997. Dia memulai riset tomografi ini sejak tahun 1991 ketika masih menjadi mahasiswa S1. Saat itu ia masih mengembangkan tomografi ultrasound yang bertujuan untuk mendeteksi kepekatan gas dan partikel di dalam reaktor berfasa banyak [2]. Selain melakukan penelitian, Warsito juga mengajar di Sekolah MIPA dan Fisika, Universitas Indonesia, mengarahkan murid-murid postdoctoral dari Universitas Negeri Ohio, Universitas Negeri Washington dan Universitas Shizuoka [3].
