Sonic X adalah acara televisi unggulan yang dirilis oleh TMS Entertainment dan News Corporation dengan kerjasama SEGA dan Sonic Team. Dibintangi oleh Sonic the Hedgehog berdasarkan serial video game Sonic Adventure. Episode ini semula berjumlah 52, tetapi kemudian diteruskan menjadi 78, hingga berakhir pada tahun 2007.

Sinopsis

Sebuah ledakan besar terjadi planet asal Sonic the Hedgehog tinggal. Hal ini mengakibatkan Sonic cs. dan lawannya, Dr. Eggman terlempar ke suatutempat yang dirasa asing. Saat sadar, Sonic berada di sebuah tempat terpencil di Bumi dan ditemukan oleh Christoper Thorndyke.

Dalam perjalanan mengelilingi kota, Sonic berjumpa dengan kawannya, Shadow the Hedgehog dan dibantu dengan Amy Rose, Knuckles the Echidna, Miles "Tails" Prower, dan geng Chaotix, Sonic berusaha menghentikan aksi dan tindakan-tindakan yang berhubungan dengan penjahat dari Dr. Eggman, serta menghentikan serangan dari musuhnya, Metarex.

Selama eksplorasi ke sejumlah planet di luar angkasa dengan Blue Typhoon, Sonic dan kawanannya berkenalan dengan Blaze the Cat dan Cosmo. Dr. Eggman diam-diam mengikuti perjalanan karena tertarik dengan permata Chaos Emerald. Aksi seru Sonic mampu menghentikan aksi teror dari Eggman dan Metarex.

Versi yang diedit 4Kids Entertainment dihilangkan bagian-bagian bernuansa romantis dari serial tersebut.

Sonic X pernah digunakan dalam penerbitan media cetak di Amerika Serikat.

Komik dengan nama yang sama diterbitkan sebanyak 50 buah dan diterbitkan oleh perusahaan pemroduksi, Archie Comics.
