Flavianus adalah uskup Konstantinopel yang memerintah pada tahun 446-449.[1] Flavianus selama menjabat uskup Konstantinopel, ia begitu dikenal melalui Konsili Efesus tahun 449.[2] dalam konsili ini, Flavanus memimpin konsili yang di dalamnya membahas masalah persatuan tabiat Kristus yang dikemukakan oleh Eutykhes atau yang dikenal sebagai Monofisitisme.[1]
